LS770
A new carbonized addition to the popular Sugita Kenji designed Acoustic Future series, employs a magic reminiscent of time-warping. Through prolonged high-temperature, oxygen-free kiln baking, the panels undergo a process that "cooks off" the oils and resins that would take years for wood aging to reduce. Emulating the cellular structure of vintage guitar panels, the result is a more stable resonance, lightweight for easier vibrancy, a warm and sweet tone, and a richer woody aroma. Round attack, full in the midrange, with outstanding projection and balance.
Though new, it feels old,
After the time distortion, the carbonized moon spruce panel takes on a slightly deeper color, creating a sense of age as if it has weathered through the years. Baking the wood enhances its stability, making it more resistant to climate changes. Retaining the delicate design of master luthier Sugita Kenji's classic cutaway headstock and inlay craftsmanship, the guitar features special contrasting lines outlining the inlay, adding an extra touch of classic elegance.
TORREFIED ['tɒrɪˌfaɪd]
ADJ. DRIED BY SUBJECTION TO INTENSE HEAT
Under the spell of oxygen-free high temperatures, a magical transformation takes place on the guitar. Torrefied to perfection, they awaken with unparalleled stability and decay resistant qualities, unveiling a symphony of sonic beauty.
Indulge in the allure of a fresh guitar, savoring the essence of timeless, aged sound.
As the mystery of TORREFIED unfolds, it is a perfect fusion of new and old, allowing melodies to flourish in the legacy of guitar sound. Please listen attentively to the profound meaning embedded in the wooden tones.
A Dual Delight!
Introducing the Acoustic Future special edition - “ALAN'S OWL.” It's a limited collaboration between aNueNue and the fingerstyle maestro from Australia, ALAN GOGOLL.
The geometric design around the soundhole features Alan's favorite owl motif, intricately inlaid with eight carefully selected types of wood, depicting a forest scene with owls under the moonlight. The embellishment of white mother-of-pearl resembles moonlight gently cascading through the woods, creating an intriguing allure during fingerstyle play.
*This is a limited release, pre-order is required.
Meet Alan Gogoll,
The Australian fingerstyle maestro whose self-created bell harmonics are often described as otherworldly. Through a repertoire of original compositions and a showcase of masterful techniques, Alan captivates the senses, leaving audiences in awe. As the grand finale surprise of 2023, aNueNue proudly presents this Acoustic Future series collaboration.
Torrefied Top
• | Torrefying, or thermo-treating making charcoal is a crude form of torrefaction, |
---|---|
• | The shortest summary of the process is that the wood is heated over an extended period in an oxygen-free kiln |
• | This “cooks off” the oils and resins that normally take many years to diminish as newly harvested wood dries and ages. Reduce the weight of the top, and allow lighter vibration. |
• | The theory is that a torrefied soundboard comes close to replicating the cellular structure of the top of an old guitar. |
• | Torrefied wood is also more resistant to swelling or shrinking when exposed to climate changes. |
• | A torrefied Moon spruce top has a darker color. |
Tone
More importantly, the torrefaction process imparts a vintage sound. Guitars with torrefied tops have a warmer, woodier timbre with a rounder attack and greater openness.
Neck
Heavier, harder, and denser selected South American mahogany is use on the LS770 model. They shine in high-range frequencies—the sweet-spot and resonance with acoustic body. Exceptional projection and balance.

aNueNue's team, originating from Japan and Taiwan, after three years of meticulous craftsmanship in Guangzhou, presents the idealistic, high-craftsmanship "Guitar Future" series. In the design of the Guitar Future series, the classic bird guitar body of aNueNue is integrated, retaining the distinctive offset soundhole and body shape while tailor-making a dedicated force wood structure. This structure tunes a perfect balance between resonance and panel strength, giving the bird guitar a new sound and creating a unique tone.
Sugita Kenji's Sound Concept:
Mr. Sugita Kenji specially crafted the force wood structure for the Guitar Future series. The thickness of the transparent panel is controlled at 2.5mm. The force wood design aims to stabilize the panel, preventing deformation and supporting string tension. Upon plucking the strings, the released "resonance" wave of air first reaches the panel. It then sequentially triggers resonance in the surrounding body, neck, and headstock, layer by layer, creating a beautiful tone. After three years of meticulous tuning, a clear and flexible tone is achieved, eliminating the rigidness often associated with wooden tones.
